ACDM Annual Conference Participation
ACDM Annual Conference
Tuesday 14th March 2017
The President Park Husa Hotel, Brussels, Belgium
This year our central themes include the latest advances in risk based monitoring, where we will investigate the interactions between RBM, remote monitoring and eSource, as well as looking at RBM tools and lessons learned. We will explore the big data approach to clinical data management by asking questions such as “Is clinical data big?”, as well as focusing on non-interventional studies and cloud security. Data Management KPIs, the wider world of eSource and an insight into the regulatory aspects of cloud implementations also feature in what promises to be a packed line up.
Confirmed as a keynote speaker is Andy Lawton, an expert in the Risk Based approach to Clinical Trials and holder of the 2015 and 2016 DIA “best author of the year” accolade, who will kick off a number of presentations on the Risk Based approach by looking at the implications of the recent ICH E.6 (GCP) Addendum on data management; in addition we have a representative from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. In the course of this support MSF occasionally becomes involved in clinical trials and while joining us at the conference will give us an insight into trials conducted in the extreme environments they are often faced with.
